Australia has been ranked 7th place in the annual Anholt Nation Brands Index, an exciting jump from 9th place in 2024 which highlights the strength of our nation’s global reputation.
The Anholt Nation Brands Index is a syndicated international poll, surveying 40,000 individuals in 20 countries. The Index determines the global ranking of 50 nations across six categories: People, Governance, Exports, Culture, Tourism, and Immigration and Investment.
Australia ranked an impressive 2nd on People, with perceptions of friendliness, employability, and being welcome in the country contributing to this strong result.
Australia entered the top 3 for the first time in the Governance (3rd) and Immigration and Investment (3rd) categories.
It also saw an increased ranking for Tourism, from 9th place in 2024 to 7th place in 2025, with the country taking out the number one spot for Natural Beauty in this category.
Our country’s improved ranking empowers Australian businesses entering international markets, where they can harness the strength of Australia’s Nation Brand to leverage trade and investment opportunities.
